COLEXON FLEX Construction system
We were consulted by German based COLEXON Energy AG for a 3D visualization of their latest photovoltaic roof solution called COLEXON FLEX which can be built on nearly every existing roof. Since it's a new system with specific technical elements for construction and parts there were no available pictures or existing projects with this system. So we jumped in and delivered an industrial building with green surroundings around. We rendered five views following client’s specifications for an industrial and "engineer-like" - but also realistic look.

Since time was essential for the high-res rendering we used Octane Renderer this time to be flexible in camera choice and render times. The visualization had to be done for Intersolar 2011 to be part of client's booth. Intersolar is the world biggest exhibition for renewable energy. The main challenge was to keep track of all the small but important technical details like how our client preferred the sunshine and the believable and convincing looks for engineers plus the common last minute changes in such dense projects.
